They included 30 bags of rice, 10 bags of sugar, 10 gallons of edible oil, 10 cartons of tomato, 10 cartons of Milo and 10 cartons of milk.

The Spiritual Leader of the council, Nakoa Nazareth Ansah Jamson, who led other members of the group to present the items, commended the Chief Imam and Muslims in general for the able manner in which they had gone through their fasting period successfully.

“The council is grateful to the Muslim community for the annual ritual that has not only promoted their spiritual existence but also used to offer prayers for peace, growth and prosperity of the country,” he stated.

According to him, anyone who sacrificed himself by fasting for others and the country needed to be supported, hence the support from the council.

Sheikh Sharubutu thanked the council for its regular support, and indicated that everything would be done to strengthen the bond between Muslims and Christians.

He urged all Ghanaians to be committed to peace in order to build a strong and prosperous country.

He called on the youth to be tolerant and identify their God-given talent to help humanity.
