The Electricity Company of Ghana has announced a series of emergency and planned maintenance exercises across the Western, Ashanti and Tema regions for Thursday, July 23, as part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery.

In the Western Region, emergency maintenance will take place on Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, affecting a wide range of communities including Esiama township, Axim township, Abura Ahanta, GREL, Tsibu, Ayiskro, Nsien, Miamia, Adiewoso, Kikam, Asamko, Aiyinase township, Awiaso, Awiabo, Atuabo, Maaha Beach, Eikwe Hospital, Nkroful township, Asasetre, Kamgbline, Gwira Banso, Gwira, Eshiom, Asemkrom, Jema, Boinso, Omanpe, Kwahu, Sewum, Enchi township, Nyankamam, Old and New Yakasi, Achimfo, Adjoum, Akontombra Nkwanta, Half Assini, Elubo, Benyin, Bawia, Mbem, Samanye, Mpataba, Tikobo 1 and 2, Alawule, Bonyere, Ezinlibo and surrounding areas.

In the Ashanti Region, planned maintenance will affect Kronom Cement, Boussie, Asuofua, Heman, Amoaman, Adankwame, Adugyama, Nketiah, Kokote, Abira, Namong, Barekese Headworks, Akyease Booster Station, Offinso, KCG, Ahenkro, Kodie, Apagya, Aduamoah, Denase, Akom, Mowire, Amoako, Boamang, Tetrem and surrounding areas from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

In the Tema Region, planned maintenance will affect Santor, Jordan City, Aunty Araba, Abgeshie Laryea, Nelplast, Kubekro, Level 400, Nungua (Presby Schools and Traditional Council) and surrounding areas from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

ECG has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and urged those in affected areas to make alternative arrangements and remain patient as the scheduled works are carried out.
