Facts

Presenting the facts of the case, the Prosecutor, Inspector Maxwell Ayim, said the case involved a third accomplice who was currently at large.
He said Sowah and Danso were friends and were earlier arrested by the police on suspicion of drug peddling.

Inspector Ayim said the two accused persons contended that it was the victim, Adjei Mensah, who volunteered information to the police leading to their arrest.

The prosecutor said based on that suspicion, the accused and their accomplice, now at large, on March 10 this year at about 11:30 p.m., proceeded to Mensah’s family house at La where they found him sleeping in front of the house.

Inspector Ayim said the accused poured some liquid substance suspected to be acid on Mensah and bolted.

According to the prosecution, the victim was able to identify the two accused and reported the incident to the police.

Inspector Ayim said Sowah was smoked out of his hideout on March 11, this year, while Danso was also nabbed on March 17, 2020.
