The beneficiaries are the Ghana Prisons Service, which had 250 bags, the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, which received 230 bags, and the Nima Muslim community, which got 250 bags.

Presenting the items on behalf of Prophet Joshua, Mr Samuel Sackey, Emmanuel TV Partner, said Prophet Joshua believed that Jesus came to save the whole world, adding that gifts were presented to Him at His birth, a gesture which needed to be emulated by all.

He said Jesus Christ did not discriminate in saving the world and so during the celebration of His birth, everyone should be part of the celebration.

“We should let love lead whatever we do, irrespective of race and religion,” he stated.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Prisons Service, its Chief Public Relations Officer, DSP James Tetteh, expressed gratitude to Prophet Joshua for the gesture.

He stated that the prisons were a deprived area, lacking a lot of amenities, and hoped that the donation would go a long way to improve the feeding challenges facing inmates during the Christmas.

He said the prisoners were fed with GH¢I.80 a day and so “we encourage people to come and supplement what they have to eat”.

At the Psychiatric Hospital, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Mr Emmanuel Pappoe, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the Prophet and hoped that the donation would help in feeding the 550 inmates currently on admission at the hospital.
