The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced that all travellers arriving in Ghana will be required to complete a Mandatory Health Declaration Form, effective Thursday, November 12, 2026.
In a press release issued on November 7 and signed by Director-General Dr Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, the Service said the directive follows a recent announcement by the Minister of Health.
In line with the directive, all passengers travelling to Ghana must complete the Health Declaration Form at https://ehds.ghs.gov.gh/declaration before embarking on their journey.
The Service explained that the measure is intended to strengthen Ghana's public health surveillance and preparedness systems, enhance the monitoring of potential public health risks, and safeguard the health and well-being of both residents and visitors.
All travellers are strongly advised to ensure they complete and submit the required Health Declaration Form prior to departure.
Airlines and other relevant stakeholders are also encouraged to bring this requirement to the attention of passengers and ensure that travellers are adequately informed ahead of their journeys.
The Service urged all travellers to comply with the directive to facilitate a smooth travel process and support the country's efforts to protect public health, and expressed appreciation for the cooperation and understanding of all travellers and stakeholders.
