Work begins on Fumesu-Okyerekrom-Kokobra road
Work has started on the upgrading of the 1.8 - kilometre Fumesu-Okyerekrom-Kokobra road in the Ashanti Region.

On completion, the GH¢590,000 project, being funded by the government and executed by Interstate Construction Company, will facilitate the movement of people and goods in the area.
At the sod-cutting ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ejisu/Juabeng Municipal Assembly, Mr Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, said the project was part of efforts by the government to develop infrastructure in rural areas.
He said Fumesua and its surrounding communities deserved a proper road network and other social amenities to enhance the living conditions of the people in the area.
Feasibility studies
He announced that the assembly, together with other development partners, had completed feasibility studies to find a lasting solution to the water problem facing the people in the area.
The Chief of Fumesua, Nana Asua Amoako II, urged the government to commit more resources to improve the quality of drinking water, standard of education and sanitation in the area.
He lauded the government and the assembly for initiating development projects in the area.
