The building has rooms for offices and places of convenience. It was constructed with funds from the World Bank, under its Urban Development Grant (UDG).

Inauguration

The Agona West Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Oppong, said the centre was established to provide a friendly location for the people, where they could gather to take important decisions regarding the development of the community.

He said in spite of challenges the nation was confronted with, the government would continue to initiate and undertake projects across the country targeted at enhancing the living conditions of the people.

According to him, the government had prioritised its development agenda and would not relent in its efforts to develop every part of the country.

The Member of Parliament for the Agona West Constituency, Mr Charles Obeng-Inkoom, expressed gratitude to the people for supporting the government.

He assured them that the government would continue to provide infrastructure that would address their needs.

He urged the community to have a plan to maintain  the facility in order that it might last long.

Chief

The Chief of Yalewa Zongo, Alhaji Bashiru Moro, commended the government for providing the community centre.  He said the people were ever ready to assist the government to deliver on its development agenda for the area.
