Zoomlion deploys personnel to beautify Accra ahead of Presidential Inauguration
In anticipation of Ghana's presidential inauguration on January 7, 2025, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has launched a large-scale cleanup and beautification exercise in Accra's ceremonial areas.
A workforce of over 500 personnel has been deployed to ensure the city is immaculate and visually appealing for the historic event.
The exercise encompasses various activities, including cleaning Black Star Square and ceremonial streets, painting pavements and pedestrian walkways, adorning traffic lights and trees with national colours, weeding road medians, sweeping streets, and clearing drains.
This initiative forms part of Zoomlion's corporate social responsibility, underlining the company’s dedication to maintaining a clean and beautiful Ghana.
The inauguration marks President John Mahama's return to power, following his decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election, where he secured 56.55 percent of the votes. His second term in office is highly anticipated, with a strong focus expected on tackling economic challenges such as unemployment and inflation.
A key element of Mahama's campaign was his "24-hour economy" policy, designed to stimulate economic growth and create jobs for Ghana’s youth. As he prepares to assume office once more, many Ghanaians are optimistic about the positive change and development his leadership promises to bring.
