According to the Omanhene of the Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Otuo Siribuor, the initiative would help improve access to health care in Juaben and its adjoining communities, as well as improve the standard of living of the people.

The Juabenhene said this at a ceremony at which the management of Tex Styles Ghana Limited, producers of GTP and Woodin products, presented 280 sets of bed sheets and pillow cases to the Juaben Government Hospital.

The company has also refurbished some of the wards at the hospital.

The Juaben Government Hospital is the 10th hospital to benefit from the company’s generosity in the past three years.

Gratitude

Nana Siribuor praised Tex Styles for the gesture and expressed his gratitude to the management of the company for the facelift it had given the hospital.

Tex Styles has chosen health as one of the platforms to give back to the Ghanaian society for its support over the years.

Presenting the items on behalf of the company, the Group Marketing Director, Nana Kwabena Owusu Yentumi, said, “As a company that produces top-quality textile products, we believe one of the ways to help our society is to support selected hospitals with a portion of the top-grade 100 per cent cotton grey baft we use in producing our products. We believe that the comfort derived from these bed sheets/pillow cases can go a long way to help speed up the recovery of our brothers and sisters admitted to these facilities.”

The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Prosper Gbekor, said the presentation was very timely and promised that the items would be put to  good use.

Other hospitals that have benefited from Tex Style’s this year are the Koforidua Regional Hospital the St Joseph’s and the Effiduase hospitals, both in Koforidua, the Tema Polyclinic, the Nkwatia Health Centre and the Kwahu Government Hospital at Atibie.
