Lante Dzan We, a division of the Asere Kotopon quarters of the Ga State, the custodian of the calendar for the celebration of Homowo, takes the lead in the celebration of the festival.

Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo presented the items on behalf of her husband.

She said “this year is an election year, and if the NPP wins, measures will be taken to alleviate the hardships Ghanaians are facing.”

Mrs Akufo-Addo also introduced the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Odododiodoo Constituency, Nii Lante Bannerman, and asked the people to vote for him to solve the numerous problems confronting the constituency.

The Lante Dzan We Mantse, Nii Lantei Otanka II, received the items and thanked the NPP for the donation.

He urged Ghanaians to avoid violence before, during and after the elections.

He added that the Lante Dzan We celebration ushered in the Homowo celebrations by the whole of the Ga State.

The Acting Dantu Wulomo of the Lante Dzan We clan, Nii Odartey, poured libation and prayed for Nana Akufo-Addo and Nii Lante Bannerman to emerge victorious in the forthcoming elections.

Among the chiefs who were present at the function was the Kaneshie Mantse, Nii Ayitey Kane I.
