Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to Kpandai on Friday morning (July 12, 2024), during his campaign tour of the area, the Paramount Chiefs of the two traditional areas, in a statement read on their behalf, praised his contributions as Vice President in assisting President Akufo-Addo and impacting the region's development.

"The people of Kpandai are proud of you for the role you have played as Vice President in helping His Excellency to implement policies that address inequalities in the country," the Chiefs said in a joint statement read on their behalf.

"Your administration has demonstrated to the people of Kpandai that equality is a hallmark for you."

The Chiefs highlighted the significant developments in the Kpandai district under Dr. Bawumia’s mandate as Vice President. They cited the free senior high school policy as the biggest social intervention in the country, which has led to increased secondary education enrollment. They noted substantial developments in education, health, and agriculture, among other sectors.

"Kpandai has received a lot of development across the district in education, health, agriculture, among others. Kpandai Senior High School has two new storey classroom blocks, and over 7,000 pieces of furniture and other classroom blocks across the district."

"On health, Kpandai is also benefiting from the Agenda 111 Hospital, which is about 65% complete, and a number of CHPS compounds across the district."

"In agriculture, Kpandai also benefited from the One District One Factory initiative, a water harvesting rice field at Lonto and Jangbai. On peace and security, the government has put up a district magistrate court building, a one-storey police office, and a district fire office in Kpandai."

"Regarding electricity, the district has over 95% coverage, just to mention a few."

Looking forward, the Chiefs requested improvements to their road network, particularly the main road linking Kpandai to Krachi, and an improved water system to meet the growing population of the area.

The Chiefs, on behalf of the people, wished Dr. Bawumia well, encouraged him to continue his commendable work, and assured him of their unwavering support.

"Continue to be who we have known you to be, and your humility will take you far. Concentrate on your 70-point vision for the country. Dr., it is possible."

"We want to thank you and assure you that we, as a people, will demonstrate that breaking the 8 is possible."
