Diaspora Patriots in Ghana donates to NPP PCs

The Diaspora Patriots in Ghana Foundation (DPG) has charged Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking to the GraphicOnline the Chairman of the group, Mr Prince Ofosu Sefah, explained that the current NPP government had undertaken unprecedented policies and programmes within the period of four years that had affected the lives of Ghanaians positively.

According to him, policies such as Free SHS, improved railway system and one-district, one-factory had all contributed to improving the lives of Ghanaians and showed semblance to what existed in the more advanced countries.
Mr Sefah entreated Ghanaians to vote massively to consolidate and advance them so that Ghana could develop faster.

He stated that the previous NDC government which was led by former President John Mahama was alleged to be the most corrupt and underperforming government ever and did not deserve to be given another chance to return to stunt the massive progress Ghana was experiencing.

Mr Sefah added that in the more advanced countries, Mr Mahama would not even have been nominated again after such an electoral performance.

“The Ghanaian voters passed a judgement on Mr Mahama's performance and nothing has changed about him within four years which should necessitate his return to replace a much better President and government,” he noted.

Press conference
At a press conference in Accra yesterday, the group also donated 4,000 NPP-branded T-shirts, 10 megaphones, 100 solar lamps, 10 motorcycles, 200 NPP-branded caps and an undisclosed amount of money to support campaign activities in eight constituencies in the Greater Accra Region and 12 others across the country.

Appreciation and commitment
The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Amasaman, Mr Akwasi Afrifa-Mensah, on behalf of his colleague recipient parliamentary candidates, expressed gratitude for the gesture and assured DPG that the items would be put to good use for the victory of the party.

Mr Alex Dadey, a businessman and party patron, who was the biggest donor to the DPG's fundraising agenda, expressed his happiness to donate for the success of the group and the NPP.
He mentioned several other efforts he had been making in support of the party and the progress of the nation over the years and stated that he was committed to doing more in future.

The NPP Greater Accra Deputy Regional Organiser, Mr Jeff Kassim, thanked DPG on behalf of the regional chairman and campaign team for the donations.
He mentioned prior efforts by DPG, especially in the Amasaman and Obom constituencies, including campaigning vigorously, and asked them to do and give more to strengthen the party.
