Eighty-year-old elected NDC Northern Regional Chairman
Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila , an 80-year-old commercial farmer, has been elected as the Northern Regional Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the just ended regional delegates elections.

The race for the chairmanship position appeared to be a keen contest between the former President John Dramani Mahama and Mr Haruna Iddrisu as it is said that the two heavyweights were backing Mr Wumbei and Alhaji

Victory speech
In his victory speech, the chairman-elect pledged to unite the rank and file of the party and work hard towards recapturing all parliamentary seats in the region to enable the party to win the 2020 general election.
He assured of an open door administration and urged all the aspirants to forget the past and work hard to enable the party
