Liberal Party of Ghana begins constituency polls
The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has started a nationwide constituency executive elections to select officers in its strongholds to steer the affairs of the party for its 2020 election campaign.
The exercise, which started last Monday, is expected to end in April.
The Leader and Founder of the LPG, Mr Kofi Akpaloo, told the Daily Graphic that the exercise had ended in the Volta Region.

Zones
According to Mr Akpaloo, the party divided the country into three zones for the exercise. Zone one consists of the Volta, Eastern, Greater Accra ant Central regions with the Western, Brong Ahafo and Ashanti constituting zone two, while the Northern, Upper East and Upper West constituted zone three.
He said the Kumbungu, Tolon, Bunkrungu, Yunyoo constituencies and others were completed last Friday and the exercise was expected to be extended to the Upper East and the Upper West regions.
Mr Akpaloo said the committee, after completing the exercise in the Volta Region, would move to the Eastern Region and continue to Greater Accra and end in the Central Region.
The founder said elections had been held at Bantama, Asokwa, Oforikrom, Manhyia North and South, Kwadaso, Nhyiaeso and Subin constituencies,all in the Ashanti Region.
He indicated that the constituency elections would be followed by regional and national executive elections and the choosing of a flag bearer for the 2020 elections.
He called on party members and supporters to avail themselves of the opportunity and rebrand the party to enhance its fortunes for election 2020.
