For his part, The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey claimed that the NPP inherited a robust economy from the NDC but has since undermined it. He highlighted that the previous NDC administration left behind an economy supported by two oil fields and a thriving manufacturing sector, among other assets.

“When you say one village one dam and you know you do not have the capacity that is deception. Our policies are anchored on principles, the principle of respect for the people. We left behind a manufacturing sector that was wrong, two oil fields, a strong cocoa sector.”
