Patronise exhibition exercise - Volta NDC
The Volta Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on Ghanaians, especially people in the region, to check their names in the voters register when the Electoral Commission (EC) begins its exhibition exercise.
That, according to the party, would ensure their names were captured in the register in order not to be disenfranchised during the elections.
Press conference
Speaking at a press conference in Ho on the just ended voter registration exercise, the Volta Regional Secretary of the party, Mr James Gunu, said people must "ensure that when the EC conducts the exhibition exercise, you will go all out to check your names and make sure they are in the register in order not to be disenfranchised".

"It is just not enough to have your name in the register, you must also come out in your numbers and vote for ‘John and Jane’ to liberate the country from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government,” he stated.
According to Mr Gunu, the NDC was on a ‘rescue mission’ to liberate Ghanaians from the NPP government as it had failed Ghanaians woefully and did not deserve a second term.
He said although the registration exercise in the Volta Region was characterised by intimidation and harassment, the people showed up in their numbers to register.
Some people, who claimed to have been harassed and intimidated by military personnel deployed to the border communities, took turns to narrate their ordeal to the press at the meeting.
NDC world bank
Commending the people of the Volta Region for the enthusiasm they showed during the exercise, Mr Gunu said enthusiasm had sent a message to government that the people were ready for the 2020 election.
The Volta Region, he said, remained the world bank of the NDC, and, therefore, no tactics deployed by the NPP would dissuade the people from the NDC party.-#GhanaVotes2020#
