Stop using my name fraudulently —Nana Konadu

The attention of the 31st December Women’s Movement has been drawn to some unscrupulous persons using the name of the President of the Movement Dr (Mrs) Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings to dupe people.

According to a statement signed by Ms Sylvia Ahorlu, General Secretary of the movement, some people have created a Facebook page with the name “Konadu Rawlings” on which there is mention of an organisation called Empowerment of the Masses (OFEM), of which they claim Mrs Rawlings is a Co-founder.

The statement said the page also made mention of the fact that the organisation was providing scholarships for students and also had job opportunities in the UK, Dubai, Germany and Australia and therefore asked interested applicants to pay some money for their requests to be processed.

“We wish to inform the public that this is a scam and that Mrs Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is in no way connected to or involved with this organisation and that anyone who gets involved with these people does so at their own risk,” the statement said.
