The Liberians qualified by virtue of their away goal advantage they secured in Kumasi last week when they lost 1-2 to the Porcupine Warriors.

But Berekum Chelsea yesterday cruised to the next  round of the CAF Champions League when they beat Atlabara FC 3-0 in a penalty shoot-out.

The two sides were deadlocked after Atlabara had beaten Chelsea 2-0 in regulation time in their gruelling battle in Khartoum. Chelsea won the first leg with the same margin at the Golden City Park at Berekum

In the shoot-out, the Ghanaian side managed to convert three of the kicks while their opponents  failed to convert a single kick.

But it was the heroics of Chelsea’s goalkeeper Bukari Iddrisu Danjumah, that kept the Ghanaians in the game as the Sudanese launched intense assault on the Ghanaians.

And in the shoot-outs,Danjumah saved all three kicks to ensure the survival of the  Ghanaians.
