MTN FA Cup: Kotoko in round 4

Kumasi Asante Kotoko easily cruised to the fourth round of the MTN FA Cup after  thrashing First Klass FC 3-0 in their duel at the Baba Yara Stadium Sunday.

Midfielder Issah Yakubu put the Porcupine Warriors ahead just before the break with new signing, Isaac Boakye doubling the lead for the Oseikrom boys.

Substitute Aminu Mohammed who came in for Boakye scored Kotoko’s third goal.

For Kotoko yesterday’s game was part of their  preparations ahead of  their CAF Champions League first qualifying round tie against Barrack Young Controllers of Liberia at the Baba Yara Stadium next Sunday.

At Cape Coast, Berekum Chelsea beat UCC Youngsters 1-0. The lone goal hero was Gabriel Ayala.

Medeama also qualified for the fourth round after beating Pure Joy 2-0  at the T&A Park.

Striker Kabiru Imoro opened the scoring on 32nd minute before substitute Emmanuel Adjei scored in the second half.
