Stephen Adams selected for Montenegro match

Goalkeeper Stephen Adams, one of the outstanding players of Ghana's silver medal-winning team at the recent African Nations Championship (CHAN), has earned a place in the Black Stars for Ghana's friendly against Montenegro next month.

The Aduana Stars shot-stopper was named yesterday in the squad announced by coach Kwasi Appiah for the March 5 friendly with the Brave Falcons.

Returning to the team is Rennes defender John Boye, who has recuperated from an injury which kept him out of Ghana's two World Cup playoffs with Egypt.

Conspicuously missing from the squad is regular goal tender Fatau Dauda, who has been relatively inactive in his South African side, Orlando Pirates, while former first choice goalie Adam Kwarasey of Norwegian side Stromgodset returns to the team.

The team includes the AC Milan midfield duo of Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari, the Ayew brothers — Andre and Jordan, and Schalke 04 midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The game will be played at the 12,000-seater Stadium Pod Goricum in Podgorica, Montenegro.
