UEFA Europa League: Wakaso sees red in Panathinaikos 1-2 loss to Ajax

Ghanaian international Mubarak Wakaso was sent off in Panathinaikos 1-2 loss to Ajax in yesterday’s UEFA Europa League.

Wakaso started the match and lasted till the 90th minute when he received a second yellow card and was sent off.

Panathinaikos took an early lead in the first half through Marcus Berg before Bertrand Traore equalised to end the half 1-1.

Ajax had an opportunity to take the lead through a spot kick but was wasted by Davy Klaassen before J. Riedewald scored in the 67th minute to win it for the visitors.
