All set for Fastest Human final
Tomorrow marks the second edition of the Standard Chartered Bank sponsored Ghana's Fastest Human Under-18 which takes off at the El-Wak Stadium as top athletes from the various regions compete for this year’s crown.
As announced at the launch last month by the organisers, the competition would see the five fastest boys and girls each from the various 10 regions through inter-schools and colleges athletics championships (INTERCO) competing for the topmost prizes.

The competition, which is an initiative of former national athlete, Reks Brobby, is to unearth young talents for the future, such as the recent Youth Olympics medallist, Martha Bissah, and also develop the sport in the country.
The headline sponsor of the event, Standard Charterd Bank, through its Brand and Marketing manager, Asiedua Addae, has announced that the first prize winner will receive GH¢3,000, while GH¢2,000 and GH¢ 1,000 go to the second and third positions respectively in both the male and female categories.
Physical Education (PE) masters from the schools of the six finalists will also earn GHC1,000 cash each and GHC 1,000 worth of books.
She added that her outfit decided to target the youth in athletics because they were for the future and grooming them now would be essential for the country.
"We focused on the youth in athletics so they can be groomed for the future since they would represent the country in years to come," she said.
