The Academy, which also  includes players from Ecuador, Holland among other countries is being coached by veteran footballer Godwin Attram.

Ecuadorian Joao Rojas scored the only goal of the match in the second half which was enough to push Attram Divise on top of Group A, which has Barcelona, Ajax Amsterdam and Galatasary.

In  Group B, two goals by Jacob Johannson helped Right to Dream record a 2-0 win over Ajax Cape Town while Tottenham Hotspur defeated PSV Eindhoven 2-0.

Attram told Graphic Sports that he was very happy with the victory and was still upbeat about  winning the tournament.

“I want to thank God for this day and I am really happy for winning my first game. This is a big opportunity for  my players for this victory.

“We are still working hard because it’s a long journey. This victory has boosted our morale and we hope to capitalise on it” Attram noted.

They play Ajax Amsterdam today before they battle Barcelona tomorrow.
