The one-week course held at the GHAPOHA Sports Complex in Tema saw the Badminton World Federation (BWF) collaborating with the GOC and IOC.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the president of the Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG), Nestor Ghalley, said he believed the sport will grow in the country with the knowledge imparted to the coaches.

The course director, Annirao Dajee, expressed satisfaction at the performance of the participants during the course and urged them to impart the acquired knowledge to the young ones.

"I congratulate you all for the hard work you showed during this one-week course and I want to see you impart your knowledge to the young ones," Mr Dajee said.

The Secretary General of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Richard Akpokavie, also praised the participants, saying "You hold the future of badminton in the country and I congratulate all of you for participating".
