Be patient with new Black Stars players - Andre Ayew
Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has urged Ghanaians to be patient with the current crop of players saying they are dedicated and patriotic, but need patience from football fans to achieve success.
Speaking as a guest lecturer during a sports psychology class at the University of Ghana, the former Swansea City star acknowledged the patriotism of his teammates, urging fans to give them the time needed to realise their potential and bring success to the national team.

“Yes, I can sit here and say that the team is patriotic. The team wants to win. We are all Ghanaians, and we are in a team with a different generation of players. Coming up psychologically everyone needs to understand what Ghana football means to the people of the country.
Andre Ayew has consistently shown his dedication to the national team, having featured in six consecutive major tournaments. Now, as a veteran midfielder, he aims to make a significant impact in Ghana’s quest to qualify for the 2025 AFCON.
Ghana has been drawn in Group F alongside Angola, Sudan, and Niger, and Ayew’s experience will be crucial in guiding the team through the qualification process.
