Dr Amoako, Darko join Weightlifting Federation
A Principal Medical Officer at the Trust Hospital, Dr Akwesi Adomako, and an Event and Marketing consultant, Fred Darko, have been appointed onto the board of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF).

Their appointment, which is expected to be ractified at the GWF ordinary congress, scheduled for May this year, will enable the two to replace two outgoing members .
Dr Adomako, who is a sports medicine specialist, has been a team doctor to the various national football teams, and is therefore expected to bring his vast expertise in medicine to bear on the operations of the national weightlifting team, The Black Cranes.
Fred Darko, the Chief Executive Officer of Evolution International, with over 16 years experience in event planning and marketing , is also expected to play a key role in the branding and marketing of The Black Cranes.
The President of GWF, Ben Nunoo-Mensah expressed his delight with the additions to the board, saying, "they will bring their vast experience in sports management to bear on the development of weightlifting".
