The competition which was played over two leagues saw Knightmare going into the second round having won the first encounter 3-2 but maintain their focus as Dreamfort came back stronger and determined to outclass them 4-1 to walk away with an undisclosed sum.

Anthony Ajavon of Dreamfort was on top of his game, as he made a perfect score in the second leg to record a personal revenge against Robert Sackey, who beat him in the first leg, also with a perfect score.

In a post-event interview, the president of Knightmare, Ambrose Amexo, described the tournament as a prelude to the upcoming third Tema classic chess tournament scheduled for December.

The General Manager of the ECG Training School, Ing. Dr George Y. Marfo said his outfit was pleased to be associated with the competition and noted that they were ready to support Knightmare in subsequent tournaments.
