Faisal in MTN FA Cup semi-finals after beating Aduana 3-1 on penalties
King Faisal booked a place at the semi-final stage of the MTN FA Cup competition when they defeated Aduana FC 3-1 on penalties after 2-2 battle in 120 minutes.

During regulation time Faisal came from behind on two occasions before picking the ticket to play in the next stage of the competition in a match watched by a sizeable number of football fans at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese near Kuntanase in the Ashanti Region.
It was a match that Faisal should have won in regulation time if they had converted the goal scoring opportunities that came their way.
It was Aduana's stalwart defender Stephen Badu Anokye who broke the deadlock in the 40th minute of the first half when he connected Emmanuel Gyamfi's volley from the left flank.
This was against the run of play, but two minutes after the goal, Faisal responded swiftly after the break when Benjamin Bature hit the back of Aduana's net from a spot kick after Godfred Asiama who was in a good position to score was brought down in the box.
With their respective fans rooting for them and each of them eager to advance to the next stage of the competition, they ignited the fighting spirit with superb ball control, distribution and attacking prowess, using the flanks as their key weapons.
Faisal however started dictating the pace and came close to scoring in the 73rd minute but Godfred Asiama who was presented with the opportunity messed up with only the keeper at his mercy in the box.
Aduana taught them how to convert half chances into goals when Frank Owusu rose above his markers to nod home Sam Adams float in the 73rd minute.

Five minutes later Faisal came at par when Bature again came to the rescue of his team with a close range shot.
During extra time both teams failed to score and when the penalty shootout was effected to decide the winning team, Faisal scored three as against one by Aduana to book a place to the semi-finals stage of the competition.
