Frederick Acheampong quits as Ashgold CEO
The CEO role at AshantiGold SC is vacant after Frederick Acheampong quit today. Acheampong in a tweet said it was time to move on for personal reasons.
He also expressed gratitude to club bankroller Kwaku Frimpong 'Champion' and the supporters for the opportunity.
His decision takes effect from April 30.
He posted: "End of a golden road. I have tendered in my resignation as C.E.O. of @AshantiGoldSC_ effective 30th April 2020. I have grown and learnt immensely at the club but it’s time to move on for personal reasons. Thanks Champion, the club and supporters for the opportunity #miners 💪🏽".

Appointed Ashgold CEO in April 2018, Acheampong is also a member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.
He is also the Chairman of the Black Meteors Management Committee.
