Group Nduom pledges to partner SWAG
One of the country’s most successful indigenous business conglomerates, Group Nduom, has pledged to partner the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) to help develop and promote sports in the country.
As a first step towards a promising relationship, Group Nduom has indicated its readiness to support SWAG towards the organisation of the 40th MTN SWAG Awards which will take place at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra on Saturday, October 3.

Group Nduom is a business empire owned by business mogul and politician, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, comprising financial institutions, hotels, insurance company, real estate, manufacturing company and media. It also owns Division One football club, Elmina Sharks, and a subsidiary of the group, GN Bank, is the title sponsor of the Division One League, while another affiliate, First Digital TV, is the official broadcast sponsor of the league.
At a recent meeting with the executive of SWAG led by its president Kwabena Yeboah, the Corporate Affairs Manager of Group Nduom, Richmond Keelson, said the business empire was ready to work closely with SWAG as the ideals of the association fell in line with Dr Nduom’s vision for football development, hence his massive investment in his club, the Division One League and the construction of a sports complex at Elmina.
“We are in the game, anything we need to do to promote the game and sanitise it we will do in partnership with a credible professional group like SWAG,” said Mr Keelson.
“We are ready to work with you.”
The SWAG boss said the association was proud to be associated with a Ghanaian success story such as Group Nduom and look forward to a lasting, fruitful working relationship.
