It was  Hearts’ first win after a string of defeats under their Japanese-born America coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, who has come under intense fire.

Newly- signing Samudeen Ibrahim capitalised on a sloppy defence after a volley from Eric Kumi to open the scores.

The visitors posed little threat after the opener and Hearts made further incursions into their half in search of more goals but midfielder Saban Laryea was unlucky to find the net.

Back from the break, Ifeanyi Ubah increased the tempo of the game and took the game to Hearts in search of the equaliser but Robin Gnagne stood tall and prevented the opponents from causing any havoc.

In the 62nd minute  winger Thomas Abbey received the ball at the edge of the box and dribbled the Nigerians before slotting the ball  into an empty net for the Phobians’ second goal.
