Amankwah, who previously served as the assistant coach at Medeama SC and has notable experience with Bibiani Gold Stars, will now support the Head Coach, Aboubakar Ouatarra, from Côte d’Ivoire.

In a statement released by the club, Hearts expressed enthusiasm about Amankwah’s addition to their technical team.

“We are thrilled to introduce Nana Yaw Amankwah as our new assistant coach. We look forward to the expertise and positive energy he brings to our team,” the statement said.

Amankwah’s appointment comes as part of a broader overhaul of the technical staff aimed at revitalising the club’s fortunes. Hearts of Oak had a challenging previous season, narrowly avoiding relegation.

The club hopes that this strategic change will help them improve their performance and achieve better results in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians are set to kick off their 2024/25 Premier League campaign with a home fixture against debutants Basake Holy Stars.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking a new chapter for Hearts of Oak as they seek to bounce back from a difficult season and re-establish themselves as a dominant force in Ghanaian football.
