Hearts sack Joe Addo

Accra Hearts of Oak have dismissed former Phobian great, Joe Addo, as the club’s Corporate Affairs Manager, with immediate effect.

A source at the club told the Graphic Sports that Mr Addo, who until his dismissal also served as a scout for the Phobians, was the brain behind the recent outburst by Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi on the salaries of the club’s technical men.

The source said, aside being cited as the one stoking the fire, Mr Addo failed in his role as the club’s corporate affairs representative because he could not bring in any advert or support for the club.

As of the time of going to press, officials of Hearts were to meet with the playing body to explain to them recent developments in the club.

The Phobians, who are currently lying second on the Premier League table, were having a good run under their newly found Japanese-American coach until they succumbed to Wa All Stars. 

Hearts were further eliminated from the MTN FA Cup by Samreboi-based Division One side, Sarmatex, on the heels of their coach’s demand for the payment of salaries to him and his technical men.

All efforts at getting Joe Addo for a response failed.
