Mireku, who captained Accra Hearts of Oak´s CAF Confederations Cup winning squad, told the GNA Sports he was very sure that his former club was going to take all the maximum points at stake to pile pressure on  league leaders, Wa All Stars.

“I am very sure Hearts will beat Kotoko but the players must rise to the occasion and give out their best. It is not going to be an easy match as Kotoko has most of the time won IN Accra” Mireku noted.

Mireku also cautioned referee Awal Mohammed, the man who will be at the centre of the match, saying “the referee must be very fair and firm, matches between both sides have always been full of tension but Awal must exhibit professionalism throughout the game.”

The former captain urged supporters of both clubs "to come to the stadium with a clean mind, they must respect the opinion of the referees if even they think otherwise, they should not take the law into their own hands, this is our game and we have to protect it.”
