Kotoko get new boots

Players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko will today outdoor brand new football boots after the Group Chairman of the Afro Arab Group of Companies, Alhaji Abdul Salamu Amadou, made a surprise presentation to the team.

Alhaji Amadou, a die-hard fan of the Porcupine Warriors, made the presentation of assorted Adidas, Puma, Nike football boots to the delighted 19-man team yesterday at their Palm Hill Hotel base at Akropong.

The businessman, who was accompanied by his friend Alhaji Yahaya Hussein alias Toronto, said he was hopeful the gesture would inspire Kotoko to victory today when they play their bitter rivals.

"We are all fans of this great team and we will do anything to ensure that we always win.

We hope that with these boots the players will be motivated for the game against Hearts and we expect nothing but victory," he said.

Alhaji Hussein also promised members of the playing body and technical team that Alhaji Amadou had in store for the team a bumper package if they were able to emerge victorious against Hearts today.

The General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Samuel Opoku Nti, on behalf of the players expressed gratitude to the Alhaji Amadou and assured him of victory today.
