Kotoko palyers ready to face Hasaacas

Kotoko host Hasaacas today

Strugglers Kumasi Asante Kotoko will attempt to reverse the poor start to the season when they welcome fellow basement dwellers, Sekondi Hasaacas, to the Baba Yara Stadium today.

The Porcupine Warriors, placed 14th, are yet to taste victory in the four-week old season – drawing twice and losing twice in four games while Hasaacas in 12th position have been woeful travellers, conceding eight goals in two matches against Wa All Stars (3-0) and West Africa Football Academy (5-0).

Today’s must-win tie represents the start of a reported three-game ultimatum which was handed to Kotoko trainer, David Duncan, who has borne the brunt of the fans frustrations for the poor start.

Among those who will be looking to compound Kotoko’s woes is Eric Bekoe, a former premier league topscorer who has vowed to compound the woes of his former side by making a goalscoring return to the Baba Yara Stadium.

Bekoe is not the only player that the Kotoko defence will have to be wary of as he forms a potent attacking triumvirate with Ernest Papa Arkoh and Samuel Afful who will be looking to push their hosts further down the table.
