On Tuesday the player went through the MRI scan a day after he injured his thigh during training but he told the Graphic Sports that the scan did not reveal the extent of the injury but was expected to take a second scan today.

The player was dropped from Coach Avram Grant's 22-man squad for the Black Stars' double-header friendly against Senegal and Mali in France tomorrow and next Wednesday respectively following the thigh injury.

Otoo disclosed that he was disappointed the injury had ruled him out of the game but was anxious to return to active play soon.

The Sogndal player, who was part of Coach Grant's team during the Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea, injured his right thigh while training with his Norway club ahead of the start of the season.

Otoo, 22, who, is an integral part of the Norway side said he got injured last Monday during training and the medical team was working around the clock to ensure he recovered in time for the season.

'I am disappointed I could not make it to France but things happen for a reason', the former Accra Hearts of Oak skipper indicated but was confident he would  bounce back in grand style.
