More medals for Team Ghana
Ghana improved her medal haul at the ongoing All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo, with three more silver medals in the 4x100m women, javelin and para cycling T-54 800m race last Tuesday.
The Sprint quartet of Flings Owusu Agyapong, Gemma Acheampong, Beatrice Gyamann and Janet Amponsah were the stars in Ghana’s 4x100 m relay as they made a smooth change-over with their batons to manage a time of 43.72 seconds to place second behind Nigeria who won gold with a strong team, including Blessing Okagbare.

Ghana's Mary Zuta, was impressive in the javelin event as she recorded a distance of 44.69m on her fifth effort to snatch the silver behind Nigeria's Kelechi Nwanaga, who won gold with her throw covering a distance of 52.70m.
Team Ghana won its third medal in the T-54 800m para cycling finals when Patrick Obeng finished second behind his Tunisian counterpart who won gold.
Ghana's medal tally is now 10, with three days to the end of the competition. This comprises five silver and five bronze.
Meanwhile, the Black Queens will play the Indomitable Lionneses of Cameroun in the final of the women’s football competition tomorrow.
