New boots for Kotoko
The Group Chairman of the Afro Arab Group of Companies, Alhaji Abdul Salamu Amadou, has presented assorted football boots to Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of today’s Premier League cracker with Hearts of Oak at the Accra Stadium.
Alhaji Amadou, a die-hard supporter of Kotoko, handed over the Adidas, Puma and Nike boots to the 19-man Kotoko squad at their Palm Hill Hotel camping base at Akropong in the Eastern Region.
The businessman, who was accompanied by a close pal, Alhaji Yahaya Hussein, aka Toronto, said he was hopeful that the gesture would inspire Kotoko to win today.
"We are all fans of this great team and we will do anything to ensure that we always win.
“We hope that with these boots the players will be motivated for the game against Hearts and we expect nothing but victory," he added.
Alhaji Hussein also hinted that Alhaji Amadou had in store a bumper package for Kotoko if they emerged victorious against Hearts today.
The General Manager of Kotoko, Samuel Opoku Nti, on behalf of the players, thanked Alhaji Amadou, and assured him of victory today.
