NWL: It's Ashtown v Ampem Darkoa cracker

The action spot of Match Day 2 of the National Women's League (NWL) will be at the Prempeh College Park on Sunday when Ashtown Ladies host Ampem Darkoa in what could define the character of the competition particularly in the northern zone.

Last week, Ampem Darkoa opened their campaign with a 7-1 win over new entrants, Subayo Golden Ladies, while Ashtown were 2-1 away  winners  against Real Upper Ladies from Tumu, and both sides would be pushing for the points to consilidate their positions.

Top scorer, Princella Adubea, has promised more goals and judging from her current form, Ashtown will have a lot to contend with if she decides to show up in that same devastating form.

Former northern zone champions, Fabulous Ladies, will also want to recover from their stuttering start as they host Real Upper Ladies at the Prempeh College Park on Sunday while Prisons Ladies face a tough task against their visitors, Northern Ladies at the Coronation Park tomorrow.

In the southern zone, there are dicey encounters all around as LadyStrikers after their 0-4 trouncing by Hasaacas last week, will be eager to bounce back against Police Ladies at the Robert Mensah Stadium on Sunday.

Samaria Ladies will host Haaacas Ladies at the ATTC Park tomorrow, Immigration host Bafana Ladies at the El-Wak Stadium on Sunday while Soccer Intellectuals play Halifax Ladies at the Ajumako Park also on Sunday.
