Delaney Ghana, representing Accra Polo Club, established their superiority over their opponents after beating them in the UK in a similar game last year.

The Ghanaians dominated the entire four-chukka duel watched by a good crowd to commemorate Ghana’s 59th Independence Anniversary.

However, a Ham Polo Club select side beat Accra Polo Club select team 5-4 in the mixed team friendly last Sunday to lift the Trustees’ Cup.

The special four-day Independence Polo Festival was expected to end on Monday with the PW St Patrick's Cup match between Vanguard Ghana and Ham Great Britain.

The impressive fun-packed programme began last Friday with the Friendship Cup game which saw DSG Ghana beating Ham Great Britain 9 goals to six- and-a-half.

The Captain of the Accra Polo Club, Mr Kwakye Dopoah-Dei, was full of praise for his teammates and assured polo fans of more successes ahead of this season.
