Rugby league begins in C/R

The first leg of the Ghana Rugby Football Union 2013/2014 senior 15s Rugby League commenced last Saturday at the Adisadel School park in Cape Coast.

Last year's finalist Cosmos Buffalos won by 34 tries to zero against Mfantsidisc and Accra Sharks lost to Idas Sports by seven tries to 26 Dansoman Hurricanes beat Abura Bombers by 24 tries to seven, whereas, Oguaaman Ocean Warriors scored 17 tries to five by Black Panthers but the match between AggreyOguaa and Legon Titans was postponed.

The scores put Cosmos Buffalos on top of the table, followed by Idas Sports, Dansoman Hurricanes, Oguaaman Ocean Warriors and AggreyOguaa respectively.

The league continues on Saturday, January 21, 2014, at the University of Ghana Rugby Pitch at Legon.
