Zile yearns for title showdown with Gorsh

John Zile, a highly-regarded super-bantamweight boxer, nicknamed "The Monster”, has persistently called out National Super-bantamweight champion, Daniel "The Emperor" Gorsh, urging him to defend his title against him.

Zile has been vocal about his desire to face Gorsh even before the latter won the national belt.

Previously, rumours of a potential bout between the two boxers emerged, but the intense banter between their respective camps seemingly put a halt to those discussions.

However, the rivalry appears to have been reignited despite Gorsh having already signed to fight Michael Decardi Nelson in a high-stakes matchup promoted by Box Office Sports later in the year.

“I have my eyes on the national belt. Gorsh must face me before moving forward,” Zile told Graphic Sports.

“If he doesn’t want to fight me then he should be prepared not to have peace in this division because I will torment him,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Gorsh camp has remained relatively silent on the matter, possibly due to their focus on the upcoming WBC Youth title bout against Nelson scheduled for September in Accra.

Whether the Gorsh vs Zile matchup will take place before or after the September clash is yet to be determined.

Zile is keen on continuing his pursuit of a national title shot and will persistently chase the opportunity until he gets his chance to compete for it.
