The first customers who opened accounts in the three branches were credited with an extra GH¢500 and a free First Digital Television Dish.

The Managing Director of GN Bank, Mr Issah Adam, at the inauguration of these offices, said the bank decided to expand to Ningo Prampram due to its mission of extending financial services to every doorstep in the country.

He said the bank which started in 2006 with one branch now boasts of 207 branches and intended to increase its branches to 300 by end of June this year.

The chiefs of the various communities expressed their gratitude to Dr Nduom and the management of GN Bank for siting some of their branches in the district.

The Chief of Lower Prampram, Nene Teye Eyum III, said he hoped the bank would help grow the community and also called on the bank to support the fishermen in the community.

The Chief of New Ningo, Nene Teye Djambah IV, said the bank was going to make life easier for the residents as they would no longer have to travel to Tema before depositing money.

He said residents who have relatives outside the country could now also receive cash sent them without having to travel to Accra.

The Founder and President of Groupe Nduom, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, also added that the bank currently has a branch in Lome and would be opening a branch in Abidjan in the coming weeks.

He said management of the bank also intended to share its fortunes with Ghanaians and had, therefore, commenced the process of listing it on the Ghana Stock Exchange.

He also urged the individuals in the various communities to patronise indigenous banks in order to grow them into bigger banks that could provide the government with loans.
