Graphic Business-Stanbic Bank Breakfast Meeting tomorrow

The second edition of the quarterly Graphic Business/Stanbic Bank Breakfast Meeting takes place at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra tomorrow, June 20.

The theme of this quarter’s discussion is “The Current Economic Situation and You: What to expect, how to cope and how to thrive”.

It is expected to deliberate on pressing economic and social issues affecting society and individuals especially in the aftermath of Ghana securing the IMF funding.

Speakers scheduled for the event are a Professor of Finance and lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School, Prof. Godfred Alufar Bokpin; the Executive Director of the Africa Centre for Energy Policy, Dr Benjamin Boakye, and the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking of Stanbic Bank Ghana, Timothy Mugodi.

The event would be chaired by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Mark Badu-Aboagye.

Speakers

Professor Bokpin is the main speaker of  the meeting.

Dr Boakye, as the key speaker, will touch on Ghana's energy economy, challenges and solutions.

Mr Mugodi will deliberate on current challenges facing the banking sector, particularly its customers and measures been implemented to tackle most of the issues.

Mr Badu-Aboagye is also expected at the event to delve into the topic; “How to thrive”.

Other speakers are Dr Yao Graham of the Third World Network- Africa, a think-tank, and Bright Simons of IMANI Ghana, representing the Civil Society Organisations (CSO).

Goal

This second edition is expected to bring together stakeholders in the economy and other invited guests.

Graphic Business/ Stanbic Breakfast Meeting is a platform designed to bring policy makers and the business community at large together  to deliberate on pressing national issues.
