Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC bids farewell to three longstanding board members

Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has announced the retirement of three esteemed board members who have served the maximum term of nine years, as outlined by the Bank of Ghana's Corporate Governance Directive 2018.

The Bank expressed its deepest gratitude to Mr. Charles William Zwennes, the immediate past Board Chairman, Mr. Paul King Aryene, and Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh Tagoe for their dedication and leadership throughout their tenure.

Instrumental figures in growth and stability

Mr. Zwennes, praised for his strategic vision and leadership, played a pivotal role during the critical transition from HFC Bank to Republic Bank. His deep understanding of corporate governance and the banking industry significantly contributed to the Bank's growth and success.

Mr. Aryene's contributions spanned multiple areas. He ensured financial integrity and accountability while chairing the Enterprise Risk Committee and the Cyber and Information Security Committees. Additionally, his commitment to fair treatment for all stakeholders was evident in his role as the Board Member responsible for relations with Minority Shareholders.

Mr. Tagoe's expertise in financial matters and dedication to good governance proved invaluable.  He served as Chairman of the Audit Sub Committee and was instrumental in developing strong internal control processes.  His leadership also fostered a positive workplace culture.

Legacy
