The five institutions are the Ashaiman Polyclinic, Adabraka Polyclinic, Kaneshie Polyclinic, Kumasi Children’s Home and Takoradi Hospital. Various teams from uniCredit also made time to carry out clean-up exercises at different locations in addition to the donations.

The General Manager of uniCredit, Mr P.V. Yeboah-Asiamah, who led a team to the Kaneshie Polyclinic recounted the institution’s commitment to the provision of health services to the citizenry.

He also mentioned uniCredit’s ongoing eight-year partnership with the Princess Marie Children’s Hospital which included the establishment of a special needy fund which had grown over the years to cater for the needs of the less privileged children who could not have otherwise afforded medical care.

Mr Yeboah-Asiamah explained that uniCredit’s management had decided to extend the scope of its social responsibility by supporting five additional institutions in the country with a total of GH¢80,000.

He stated that this was in addition to a donation of GH¢20,000 presented to the Children’s Hospital earlier in the year.

He said he was hopeful that the provision of items such as adjustable beds, mattresses, a refrigerator and a television set to furnish the newly constructed Amo-Mensah Ward would go a long way to enhance quality health care at the facility.

Mr Yeboah-Asiamah also informed the polyclinic’s staff at the ceremony of uniCredit’s special loan product to serve the needs of salaried workers in the public sector.
