Speaking at a brief ceremony to launch the company, the General Manager,  Mrs Akosua Konadu Osafo, stressed that the customer was key to the success of every business venture, especially in this competitive business world.

She said that her company had come thus far as a result of its numerous loyal customers whose understanding and co-operation in bad and good times helped its steady growth and transformation.

Giving a brief background of the company, Mrs Osafo said the company started 20 years ago as Utrak Systems Ltd, engaging in the sale of consumer goods to its clients.

However, in 2006, it was licensed by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to operate as a financial house under the name Utrak Financial Services Ltd to give loans to workers.

According to the general manager, the company grew in leaps and bounds, and by popular demand of their cherished customers, Utrak attained a BoG licence to operate as a savings and loans company in 2013 to receive deposits, provide credit facilities and investment services.

Mrs Osafo enumerated the bank’s products as savings, current, Little by Little, ‘Whiz Kids’, fixed deposit accounts, Little by Little loans and personal loans for workers.

She revealed that Utrak Savings and Loans Ltd had branches throughout the country and hoped to open 15 more branches in some strategic parts of the country by the end of 2014.

Mrs Osafo also commended the board of directors, management and staff of the company for their competence, hard work, and dedicated services which, together with the loyal customers, continued to keep the company in strong business.
