A Letter From Adam goes to PAFF

A Letter From Adam, a movie produced by actress Lydia Forson has been selected to be screened at the 23rd Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) in the United States of America next month.

Scheduled to take place in Los Angeles’ all-digital Rave Cinemas 15 Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza from February 5 to February 16,  the PAFF is the largest film festival in the USA dedicated to the exhibition of black films.

Each year, PAFF exhibits more than 150 films made in the USA, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, Latin America and Canada.

A Letter From Adam, a Ghanaian romantic drama directed by Atlanta-based Ghanaian director, Sam Kessie, and produced and written by Lydia Forson, will be among the world standard black films to be screened at the festival.

It is a contemporary story about love, loss and hope that will draw audience into a realistic cycle of life seen through the pain of loss, the journey of self-discovery and the courage and strength to find hope in the face of adversity.

Set in the busy city of Accra, A Letter From Adam seeks to give the audience an often neglected truth about love – that it doesn’t always come in the form one expects it to.

The movie also got three nominations at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMCVAs) for Best Movie (Comedy), Best Writer (Comedy) and Best Actress (Comedy).
