Aso Ebi Diaries shows at Silverbird Cinemas on Good Friday

The Easter fever is already in the air and movie enthusiasts are in for a good treat on Good Friday when Nigerian movie, Aso Ebi Diaries premieres in Ghana at the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall.

Under the production of Laide Films, Aso Ebi Diaries is directed by Buodun Stephen with focus on the celebration of African culture, love, friendship, and family.

It was produced by Laide Daramola and Taiwo Adebayo, with a compelling script by Frances Okeke.

Aso Ebi s a uniform dress or dressing code/style that is traditionally worn by the Yoruba people in Nigeria as an indicator of cooperation, camaraderie and solidarity during ceremonies, events and festive periods.

The purpose of wearing the dress can be to serve as self-identification with age mates, relatives or friends during social occasions or funerals.

Aso Ebi Diaries it’s a tribute to the Aso Ebi tradition, complete with style, drama, and unforgettable moments.

With a stellar cast including Shaffy Bello, Nancy Isime, Kunle Remi, Bukky Wright, Chizzy Alichi, Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori - Kie Kie, Daniel Etim Effiong, Daniel Lloyd, Kalu Ikeagwu, and Fadekemi Olumide-Aluko, the film promises amazing performances and particularly, jaw dropping fashion moments. 

Costume was made by Yolanda Okereke and Janet Aiyegbusi.
